All about the gallery, the art and the artists...

Handy Concepts Art Gallery (HCAG) is dedicated to selling original fine art, providing quality custom framing, and keeping our collectors well informed. The gallery opened at its 20 E Broadway, Red Lion, PA location in September, 2009 with nine artists including the owner.

To date we have now represented more than 30 regional and local artists and the list is growing. We have several artists who will do work on commission and every day we offer many great styles, genres and media for every taste and most budgets.

In May 2011 we relocated to the lower level of Kerry's Green, 150 Country Club Road, Red Lion.

The diversified and talented artists who exhibit at the gallery create original fine art paintings (figurative art, landscapes, still life, abstracts, portraits from life or photos), as well as one-of-a-kind jewelry, sculpture, pottery, textile art, stained glass, and collectibles. Commissioned artwork and corporate leasing is also available (see "services"). On occasion, we offer limited edition prints of select artwork. Look for available prints on demand and prices at our Fine Art America location. There you can order prints in various sizes and have them shipped directly to you. Each size is limited to no more than 50 prints.

Owner and artist Cheryl Handy is retired from the United States Army and holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland, College Park. She describes her work as a collection of feelings, memories, musings and everyday life colored by a career in the military, worldwide travel, marriage, children, and family and friends.

Cheryl has exhibited her work at the University Town Center corporate buildings in Hyattsville, Maryland; the Sports and Learning Center in Landover, Maryland; Univeristy of Maryland's Senior University in College Park, Maryland; Border's Bookstore in Bowie Maryland; Tevis Community Gallery, Carroll county Arts Council; CK's Restaurant, Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport; and the US District Courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland to name a few.

Mike Anthony is the marketing director and the voice of Handy Concepts. Aside from actively marketing the artwork of Handy Concepts Art Gallery, Mike is also available to MC events, do promotions, create voice-overs, and record radio spots. Hailing from Buffalo, NY where he wrote, produced, recorded, and hosted his own radio shows on stations WUFO, WHTT, AND WHLD, Mike began his radio career in the US Army recording for AFRTS (Armed Forces Radio & Television Station).

Mike Anthony is also the marketing director and talent scout for Kerry's Green. He hosts the twice-monthly comedy shows there and many other venues. He is available to DJ weddings and birthday parties, MC events, and voice over work.
